Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Personal Protective equipment is your last line of defense against potential hazards in your work or study activities. Different types of protective equipment are available for protecting against specific hazards. The common types of personal protective equipment you may need to use include:

• Safety goggles
• Gloves
• Safety helmet
• Laboratory coat
• Respirator

Get to learn the appropriate types of PPE you need for your activities and how they should be used. Your supervisor or departmental safety officer should be able to advise you on this.
